Eisbahn [noun]: “Ice Rink”
A Kolsch is a style of beer that originated in Cologne, Germany. In its most basic form, its a lagered-ale. This means that it is fermented using an ale (top fermenting yeast) yeast strain and then finished and aged cold like a lager strain. This creates a beer that has characteristics of both an ale (Loud, Bold flavours like #RTown on a Friday Night) and a lager (clean and smooth like a fresh sheet of ice). Light, balanced and easy drinking for a fun night at the East Avenue Eisbahn. Prost!
What’s better than a beer that tastes good? A beer that does good too. Our Rangers Kolsch was created in support of Rangers Reach, an independent non-profit organization, at arms length from the hockey club. With a focus on supporting the community that continues to support the Kitchener Rangers. Head to www.rangersreach.com for more information.
